training school. This three-day
workshop is scheduled for March
27-29,
2009. Considered a "Boot Camp" for anyone determined to work as an
outdoor cameraman in the field part to full time and/or for anyone who wants to
dramatically improve his or her camera work. If you are a professional or die-hard
amateur, this course is for you.

Powerful and Award-Winning Instructors
Combined, both instructors have over 40 years of experience in producing, directing and filming in the outdoor industry. They have worked with the best personalities, hunting pros and outfitters in the business. They are truly masters at evoking the most powerful of human emotions and capturing it all on film. |
During the weekend workshop you will learn all the tricks of the trade, as instructors direct and challenge you to become a better cameraman. Learn to create story telling footage and dazzle editors by focusing on our "Shoot to Edit" style of filming. This course will train you using “hands on” experiences utilizing the camera that you will actually use in the field. There is not a better way to improve your skills as a cameraman.
Find out your strengths and weaknesses and how to address them. Learn what works, what doesn't and why. At this weekend seminar, you will learn how you can improve the credibility of your footage as the hunt unfolds. Learn to be in the moment and to be creative at the same time. Build your skills and confidence as a field producer/cameraman, and then take your skills to the next level.
Using revolutionary training techniques, your footage will be broken down and analyzed to determine specific areas for improvement. In a combination of one-on-one training and small group activities, you will have the opportunity to learn from our instructors plus other top-level camera guys. Watch your skill level skyrocket while you trade ideas with the best in the industry.
The real jewel of the weekend is the networking opportunity of meeting and interacting with some of the best camera professionals in the industry. Learning and polishing your skills is one thing, but here you will actually meet the people in the industry who will pay you for your trade. Even if filming is not intended to be your primary means of income, you will want to bring your business cards to this event because the networking alone is worth the price of admission.
The event will be hosted at the West Kerr Ranch in Mountain Home, Texas (about 90 minutes from San Antonio.)
You won't want to miss this outdoor filming opportunity! The cost of the course is only $500 with all course materials and hands-on training included. Also included is lodging and all meals. You will, however, want to bring the actual camera that you will be using in the field so our professionals can show you how to get the most out of it. Upon successful completion of the program, you will be awarded a certificate of achievement for your records.

"Having a well-trained
camera man is essential for a quality production. Having professional
training from experienced expert videographers will greatly enhance your
own video skills. I encourage and recommend all serious videographers to
get advanced education by attending a course like this. You will not
only be a better videographer, but you will have more opportunities to
put money in your pocket. I have personally had Steve Grams film
numerous events and hunts for me and have found Steve to be one of the
best, most professional and creative videographers I have ever had to
film our award-winning show." - Jeff Engel, Host of award-winning
